Installation Guide:
you can download the mumble client from here:
download then install the client
after installation open mumble: (it will look like this)
select the "Add New" button:
enter the following information:
Label: | whatever you want | (so you can ID the server in the future) |
Address: | nestor.mumble.com | (must be exact) |
Port: | 6502 | (must be exact) |
Username: | whatever you want | (everyone on the server will see this, so character name is best) |
that window will close,
then select the mumble server
it will be listed under "Favorites"
(the name will be whatever your input was in the LABEL field)
then add the password and you are connected
I will give out the password upon request.
Configuration Guide:
I recommend running through the set up wizard, please take your time and actually read what it says and make the correct adjustments. The picture below shows where to find the sound wizard if you skip through it the first time (like I did)
One consent problem with voice quality: turn off microphone boost in Windows, mumble takes care of this under the advanced settings.
these are the voice input mumble settings that work for me:
Set a PPT button
select the configure>settings then select shortcuts, on the shortcuts page at the bottom select: ADD
Right click on your new shortcut and you should see a fly-down window, select Push-to-Talk
the rest is self explanatory
